As a child, I never dreamed that someday I would have a passion for writing, photography, or traveling. My grandmother on my mom’s side was an English teacher and she was also very strict. I loathed evenings spent working on homework assignments while she was near. I knew with certainty that at some point, she would slam that big, red dictionary that smelled of must and tears (from all the children she tortured over the years) down on my desk and instruct me to “look it up”. She was evil and I wanted nothing to do with English, grammar or writing.

Secretly, I was always drawn to creative writing and poetry, but my distaste for my articulate, overbearing grandmother had left a bitterness inside of me that I carried around for way too long. It wasn’t until I started this travel blog, to help keep my friends and loved ones apprised of my adventures, that I rekindled my interest in writing and found a new love for story telling.

Besides writing and sharing my adventures with all of you I have a number of other interests like challenging mindlessness, avoiding routines, and channeling my inner Buddha. I strive to be the best version of myself that I can be all while trying to NOT take life too seriously!

Thanks for checking out my blog and I hope you enjoy the adventures, stories, and photographs.
