Making the Most of Our Minutes

posted in: Road Trip, Van Life | 4

Just like that, FIVE months have passed since my last post. Does anyone else feel as if time vanishes into thin air? It’s as if the forces of nature have a secretive time-evaporation machine hidden within the stars. The older I get, the more I feel aware of this evil monstrosity; a weapon of the gods. It’s stealing minutes away—one tick here, one tock there—it is happening right before our very eyes.

Time passes, that’s a fact. We know this, yet we live life like we have forever. No more. The tick-tock towards the end has been blaring in our ears for years now. We’ve both hit our limit. We’re done sitting idly by dreaming of adventures, planning for a future that may never come. All while selling our souls for big dollar signs and a easy, comfortable life.

I may not know much, but I know this: there is no adventure in comfort and good stories must be earned.

As with many families, Covid-19 changed our lives drastically. Instead of fighting it, we’ve decided to run with it. I bring you, Van Life Part II.

Time is limited but imagination is not. Eric and I are are both excited to test our will for adventure, roll around in a big pile of discomfort, and rack up stories we can tell for years to come. We’ve both been slowly dying for years…now it’s time to spread our wings and get to living our best life!

Stay tuned for many blog posts to come and don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE!
