Saying Goodbye…

Hello Friends! Our endless summer is over and in less than 2 days, we’ll be back on the road! Next stop: Boise, Idaho and we are all super excited. Eric and I are looking forward to the plethora of outdoor activities Idaho has to offer and Gabe of course is looking forward to city life and cute girls. Win-Win. The Davis’ are ALL happy. They say when momma ain’t happy nobody’s happy but I disagree. If the teenager ain’t happy….you know the rest! I have forgotten the ups and downs of being that age where you want to be independent and free yet have the the emotions of unpredictable seas and executive functioning skills of a sponge. Ah, the good old days! 🙂  Life is good and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s an adventure after all!

It has been a great summer back in Columbia. We found a great place to stay that was pretty close to the MKT Trail which allowed Eric and I to both commute to work by bike! Rusk was able to use me, so I got a lot of PRN hours and was able to hang out with all my amazing friends/colleagues!!!  I was able to spend some time with my VA peeps doing what we do best…laughing, drinking margaritas, and telling stories! Gabe found a job at Panera and brought us home an occasional treat which was nice! Eric and I discovered how to make delicious, healthy smoothies and we’ve consumed more veggies in 1 week than the past decade! We got in lots of bike rides, spent time with Eric’s wonderful sweet parents, met with friends AND we were in the path of totality which allowed us to watch the 2017 Eclipse from our own backyard. It doesn’t get much better than that. Reminiscing about our time here makes me feel sentimental. I know so many wonderful people here and feel happy to call you all friends.

Our bags aren’t even packed and I already have 1,000 plans booked when we arrive in Boise! Have I mentioned how excited I am? Ok, maybe only 100 events, but what I’m getting at is that I’ll have lots of good stuff coming your way, so stay tuned!

Text, write, call, email, FB…..stay in touch!

Much love,

Jenni
